 bring your donor card\, driver's license or two other forms of identifica
 tion.\nMedication List\nWe'll need to know about all prescription and over
 -the-counter medications you're taking.\n\n&nbsp\;\nAdditional tips for th
 e day of your donation:\n\n 	Drink an extra 16 oz. of water (or other nona
 lcoholic drink) before your appointment.\n 	Eat a healthy meal\, avoiding 
 fatty foods like hamburgers\, fries or ice cream.\n 	Wear a shirt with sle
 eves that you can roll up above your elbows.\n 	Let us know if you have a 
 preferred arm or particular vein that has been used successfully in the pa
 st to draw blood.\n 	Relax\, listen to music\, talk to other donors or rea
 d while you donate.\n\nPower Red: A Power Red donation collects the red c
 ells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These dono
 rs must meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A Neg\, B Neg
 \, or O blood.\n\nBlood: The most common type of donation\, during which 
 approximately a pint of 'whole blood' is given. This type of blood donatio
 n usually takes about an hour.
